Question mark with man's head integrated into it.
  • What’s the difference between psychoanalysis (or therapy) and counselling?
Unlike counselling, psychoanalysis is 'depth psychology' – it’s about identifying those themes that are, and have been, hurdles for your functional development. Psychoanalysis is also about working with the ‘unconscious’ i.e. interpreting dreams by allowing the psyche to communicate that which resides outside of our awareness. These insights help you reframe your engagement with yourself and the world you live in.
  • How many sessions will I need?
It varies from person to person and depends on what you’re looking for. Unlike coaching (which is more structured and has a finite number of weekly or fortnightly sessions that), psychoanalysis usually means ongoing weekly sessions, irrespective of whether you’re addressing a specific crisis or simply seeking to understand yourself better.
  • How long does a session last?
    Each session lasts 50 minutes.
